Woven Pediatrics is Colorado's only physician-led clinic that specializes in Breastfeeding and Lactation Medicine. Dr. Stephanie is a board-certified pediatrician, an IBCLC, and infant mental health expert, and a mom.

Woven Pediatrics offers evidence-based and compassionate care. Check out the Services page and many of the reasons that families seek care. Breastfeeding (what babies do) is a skill that babies need to learn. Lactation (what mamas do) is a complicated experience that nobody is prepared for. Please ask for help.​
You deserve a doctor. Woven Pediatrics offers a higher level of care than many lactation professionals. Diagnostic evaluations, medical treatments and physician follow-up are ONLY offered by providers practicing Breastfeeding and Lactation Medicine, and they are available at Woven Pediatrics.
Why Woven Pediactrics...
After 15 years of Pediatrics practice, Dr. Stephanie knew what she knew.
And knew what she did not know.

Pediatricians get about 6 hours of training in breastfeeding. They learn it's best for the baby and best for mom. They learn it's a supply and demand system. They learn it's recommended until age 2. But they do NOT learn what to do when it goes sideways. Which is often.

Many newborn appointments are 20 minutes. That's not enough time for a breastfeeding evaluation. If they baby is not getting weight, many providers will recommend formula.

Breasts are organs that are meant to make milk and nourish babies. If your organs are not functioning, you see a doctor! It is inappropriate for a physician or healthcare provider to say, "your breasts don't make milk, use formula." Pain in your body is also not normal; if you hare having breast pain while lactating, you need physician-level care.

Dr. Stephanie saw the need to help young families with the basics: nurturing and nourishing their newborns. Woven Pediatrics is happy to offer 90 minute appointments. Both the lactating parent (or "mom") and the breastfeeding baby are seen as patients, both are evaluated, and both get a plan. As a board-certified pediatrician, Dr. Stephanie knows the best practice on infant growth, sleep, nurture and development. As an IBCLC, she knows how to support milk supply, troubleshoot breast pain, and help moms reach their breastfeeding goals.
