Sleep is so important. Some babies and children have a lot of attachment needs at night. If the family is not able to get rest, everyone is cranky and unable to enjoy their daytime fun. If your family is struggling with sleep, please reach out!
Logistics
Do you have the right bedtime? What does your pre-bedtime routine look like? What's going on with the naps? Sleep consults involve some practical problem solving.
Attachment Needs
How is everyone (hint: parents too) handling saying "good night?" Are you managing the emotions well, and are you able to walk out of the room without shame and guilt?
Gentle Parenting
This DOES NOT mean your child gets to pick their bedtime and their preferred sleep location. It just means that your kids should be able to express their bedtime emotions in a way that feels safe.
Sleep Coaching
Parent fading. Holding boundaries. (Easier said than done!!)
There is no magic. Most families need 2-3 weeks to see lasting changes. Caretakers must put in some work.
You are welcome to schedule a Sleep Consult - in-person and telehealth options are available. Or call to ask questions. These visits are best for infants and toddlers over 9 months of age.
Insurance accepted.
